About Covelong beach
Covelong beach was first discovered by Saadat Ali, he was the Nawab of Carnatic. In the year1746, Covelong was under the rule of French General Laboudonnais and a port was constructed to utilize the place as of the main business area. In the year 1752, the port was captured and destroyed by British East India Company under the leadership of Lord Clive.
